Just a couple
of months ago we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Fr. Petro
Dvirnyck's becoming the parish priest of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish.
Time has certainly passed quickly. Unfortunately, an announcement has come that
Fr. Petro will be leaving the parish and transferring out to Mississauga, Ontario.
This order to transfer Father Petro Dvirnyk was on the request of the newly appointed
Bishop of the Eparchy of Toronto and All Eastern Canada Reverend Stephen V. Chmilar.
Father Petro Dvirnyk will be replacing the pastoral duties of the Reverend Stephen V. Chmilar
at St. Mary's Dormition Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mississauga, Ontario.
We wish Fr. Petro and his family good luck in their move to Ontario. We were quite
fortunate in having such a young and vibrant parish priest in our parish community and
Father Petro and his lovely family will be greatly missed.
