is a stunning championship course designed by renowned golf course
architect Graham Cooke. Opened in 2007, is unique from

ebb and flow rumpled landscape. True to a links course, square
tee boxes, innovative linear bunker lines, wide, generous golf
corridors and elegant plateaued greens are found throughout.

This is the first time that Canada has the honour to host this
week-long event. We promise to not only continue the tradition of
excellence set by previous challenges in Australia, Hawaii, Spain, and
Florida, but also to give you a uniquely Canadian cultural and golfing
experience. UWGC5 will take place in Vancouver, Canada’s largest
city on the Pacific coast. It is dynamic and multicultural,
surrounded by majestic mountains, sparkling ocean, and
rainforests. Vancouver is clean, green, friendly, easily
accessible and wonderful for strolling and walking; the vibrant
downtown core offers all of the amenities and cultural experiences of a
major international destination. The great outdoors is close to
the city centre. Visitors can enjoy whale watching, sea kayaking,
sailing, and scuba diving. On land, they can enjoy the
mountainous wilderness that offers walking and hiking trials and
magnificent vistas. Our day trip to Whistler Village, known for
its ski trails and beautiful golf courses, will give everyone the
opportunity to experience Vancouver’s great backyard.
The Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle
Downtown Hotel will be our home for the
8 days of the tournament. The golf courses have been selected to
showcase the variety of the region and all are championship quality.
